Video Queen

For the last couple of weeks Cora has been giggling, laughing, smiling and being adorable in all senses of the word. We have been desiring to share her cute antics with our friends and family, so out comes the camera. That is where it starts to get interesting. Or boring, depending on how you look at it.

Here is the scenario. Cora is doing something adorable, so we grab the camera. The second Cora sees the camera, it is all over. She will just stare at the camera, and won't smile, and won't look at us. No matter what we do we end up with the same thing-- a direct stare into the camera and nothing else. Brian has tried sneaking up, hiding the camera over my shoulder, etc. Nothing works, so here it is. You can see Cora making extreme efforts to maintain view of the camera. What is she thinking? Is the camera too shiny? Are we not taking enough pictures of her? Seriously.

This situation will probably get worse before it gets better ;)

Yeah. Lucy has only just learned to smile in the presence of anything camera-related. I have no idea what it is about cameras that inspires that intensely blank stare. She's adorable even without the giggling and laughing though.

hmm, that must run in the family since Ellie did exactly that for the longest time and Eli seems to have a knack for returning to 'neutral baby face' the instant the camera goes off.
We are really excited to see you soon!
