Walking and stair scooting!

Cora has really started moving now... It is fun, and scary! She has done really well with walking and the stairs. She took her first tumble down the playroom stairs on Tuesday. Hopefully that lesson will stick with her! Right now we give her access to the short flight of stairs to the playroom (five steps) once we feel a little more confident we will let her on the full flight-- but that is a ways away still. Cora loves her new mobility, and is so proud of herself walking around. Now that she has "mastered" walking, she wants to carry things everywhere, and is constantly falling down as she drags objects around.

Very fun to watch!

Of COURSE she's not gonna wave bye bye! You ASKED her to and the camera was on! :)

I absolutely love her climbing/sliding/falling down the stairs. I laughed out loud.

She makes the cutest sounds as she's walking down the hallway. What a doll.

Wow, good for her. Lilly has taken only a few steps here and there. She stands up on her own a lot, but I guess she just isn't interested in walking yet. She has also had a few falls down the stairs, but is pretty confident with them now. Go Cora.

Wow, Cora had a good long walk there! And don't you just love how kids cooperate when you're trying to show off their tricks? :)

Baby norms (for annonymous)

Average USA baby walks at about 14 months.

Girls tend to walk earlier than boys

Walking and talking often compensate. Early walkers often talk later and vise versa.

The strongest correlation with early walking is bruises.

You will have plenty of time to chase Zachary when he gets a little older.
