Nerdy Author Conversations with Mom

I'm in Texas for a conference this week. Tonight I'm hanging out with mom. Here's what transpired.

Nerdy author conversations with my mom:
Me: "So why haven't you read my book yet, Mom?"
Mom: "I'm working on it. But don't worry, I'll finish it up one of these days. Besides you never read my book. You got two pages into it and your eyes glazed over."
Me: "I was 13, and it was a book about battlefield triage setup."
Mom: "At least my book was written all in English."
Me: "So was my book and I provided translations for every quotation. You would know that if you had gotten past page 2."
