Kisses for the 9 year old boy

We arrived in Spain last night, got settled in and went to the university that we are working with to introduce ourselves. In Spain, it is tradition to greet with the double kiss, one on each cheek. The first office lady that we met gave us all the double kiss, including little man Sam. I could tell he was somewhere between uncomfortable and horrified to be in that situation with a stranger. A few minutes later two more ladies came into the office. We all greeted each other, except for Sam who was safely back on the other side of the room behind several chairs and a table. He only gave a nervous wave and kept his distance. That boy was not risking getting anymore kisses!
