Cudillero

On Saturday night we got back from a 5 day excursion. One of my favorite parts was a little fisherman's town called Cudillero. Cudillero is full of buildings stacked on top of each other like blocks. There are little back alleys slightly thicker than a person, if you go behind them they open up to a road with houses and drying lines slung above you.Unfortunately, seeing as it's a fishing village, there was not a lot of food options for me and Sam. We were only there for an hour or two though so patatas bravas it was. Cudillero was named after the Spanish word "codo" meaning elbow. It was originally inhabited by Neanderthals, and later by a Celtic tribe known as the Astures. Now, an area of Spain including Cudillero, Oviedo, and Cabrales, and many more is named Asturias. The city was very beautiful and I hope to return there someday.
